Play

We play every Wednesday morning from April through mid October, weather permitting.  Tee times start at 7:15am.

Events

In addition to tournaments, weekly events are held and posted in the schedule.

Tee times sign ups are done one or two weeks in advance.

Tournaments

There are four major tournaments every year: Match play, Championship, Partners and 36 Hole.

Signup for each of these tournaments is done a few weeks before the event take place. Check the schedule for tournament dates.

Intersuburban Golf League (IGL)

Village Greens participates in IGL. There are seven weeks of team play against six different golf clubs. Players can participate if they have a 32 or less handicap. Participation for members is optional. The schedule and signup form can be found in the IGL tab above or by clicking here.

Prizes

Prizes, based on flights, are given  in the form of cash, at the end of the season based on results from the weekly events and tournament results.

Handicap

Handicaps are required for regular members to participate in events and tournaments. To establish handicap, you will need to join the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) and then post three (3) 18 hole scores (or any combination of 9 and/or 18 holes for a total of 54 holes) of golf play at Village Greens or any other course.

Members are expected to enter all tournament results weekly on the CDGA website or VIllage Greens Computer.

Hole in One Club

No upfront money is required. Should a lucky member make a hole in one during one of our tournaments or weekly events, the member will collect $5 from the other members of the club.

Members who would like to participate can do so by signing up using this form.

29 Club

No upfront money is required. Should a lucky member have a round of 29 putts or less during one of our tournaments or weekly events, she will collect $5 from the other members of the club.
